SuperGenPass allows you to remember just one password (your “master password”), which is used to generate unique, complex passwords for the Web sites you visit. SuperGenPass is a bookmarklet, so there’s no software to install. It works right from your Web browser and integrates with login forms. SuperGenPass never stores or transmits your passwords, so it’s easy and safe to use on multiple computers—even while traveling. It’s also completely free.
Is your ISP DNS safe to use? Recently, a significant threat to DNS, the system that translates names you can remember (such as www.doxpara.com) to numbers the Internet can route (188.8.131.52) was discovered, that would allow malicious people to impersonate almost any website on the Internet. Software companies across the industry have quietly collaborated to simultaneously release fixes for all affected name servers. To find out if the DNS server you use is vulnerable visit www.DoxPara.com today!
It’s free and may save you headaches. I also suggest using OpenDNS rather than your default DNS that your internet service provider gives you. Most if not all ISP’s are working hard to patch this flaw, but some are taking their time…namely Comcast. Don’t risk getting hacked… utilize the free services from OpenDNS and DoxPara.

"Mactracker provides detailed information on every Apple Macintosh computer ever made, including items such as processor speed, memory, optical drives, graphic cards, supported Mac OS versions, and expansion options. Also included is information on Apple mice, keyboards, displays, printers, scanners, digital cameras, iPod, Apple TV, iPhone, Wi-Fi Cards/Base Stations, Newton, and Mac OS versions."
This is my favorite app for researching or fixing any Mac computer or other Apple product. Mactracker is VERY useful when you want to get info like processor, max ram allowed, year introduced, what hard drives it will take, expansion ports, max OS supported, etc. It was just updated June 2008 to vs 5.0.3 and works on Mac OS X v10.3.8 or later. They added a notes section where you can put in your thoughts and even your own machine serial numbers and warranty info to keep track of. I think everyone should have this app! I highly recommend it. Each update gets better and better. And best of all, it’s FREE!

Nik Software's New U Point Technology Is Impressive
As you know Nik Software makes all sorts of great Filters and Plugins for Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Aperture, (Lightroom may be coming soon?), and standalone products. They recently launched a REALLY impressive new masking/selection technology called “U-Point” technology. This will speed up your post production and add so much spark to your images. It’s really incredible, as you’ll see if you watch the demo videos on their site. As for the filters, granted you could create them on your own in Photoshop and save as actions, but by getting these you don’t have to invest the time to create them.
Below is a list of some of their products that I and other reviewers have found exciting and very useful. Currently I only own Dfine, but have used th trial versions of some of the others and am quite impressed. I hope to get Color Efex Pro 3.0, Silver Efex Pro, and Viveza soon. Watch the DEMO videos under the “Lessons” tab… they are great!
Silver Efex Pro — for those who miss the power of black-and-white imagery… this plugin helps takes you back where grain and contrast were good! Wow, love the “silvery” look these provide.
Dfine 2.0 — Best-in-class, noise reduction tool. I’ve been using this for years (since 1.0) and love it! So much control with differing amounts of noise reduction in a number of selectable color regions.
Viveza — Most powerful selection tool you’ll ever use. Amazingly simple & fast. Loved the trial version!
What is The Levelator™? Do you believe in magic? You will after using The Levelator to enhance your podcast. And you’ll be amazed that it’s free, now even for commercial use.
So what is The Levelator? It’s software that runs on Windows, Mac OS X (universal binary), or Linux (Ubuntu) that adjusts the audio levels within your podcast or other audio file for variations from one speaker to the next, for example. It’s not a compressor, normalizer or limiter although it contains all three. It’s much more than those tools, and it’s much simpler to use. The UI is dirt-simple: Drag-and-drop any WAV or AIFF file onto The Leveler’s application window, and a few moments later you’ll find a new version which just sounds
—OK I tried it. WOW! It IS like magic! Loving this tool. Simple to use, and sounds great. This will greatly improve my podcasts and screencasts. No more spending countless hours in SoundTrack Pro, Garageband or Audacity to adjust levels, or use the limiter, normalizer and compressor tools. The Levelator does all these and more in a matter of seconds! - BH
