Facebook launched more than a new iPhone app this evening - they also have a new home page (the page you see when you aren’t logged in) and a new tagline. Gone is all the descriptive language suggesting you sign up to “Keep up with friends and family,” “Share photos and videos,” “Control privacy online,” and “Reconnect with old classmates.” Now Facebook has a simple message to entice you to sign up: “Facebook helps you connect and share with the people in your life.”
Checkout this new social networking site called “SocialText” which is basically a mashup of Facebook, FriendFeed, Twitter and Wiki, except for the enterprise world.

The acquisition adds the products, technologies and employees of Vara Software to those of Telestream, Inc., a privately-held US-based company. Vara Software brings successful, award-winning live production and streaming products to the Telestream product family. The acquisition expands Telestream’s reach beyond encoding-based media workflow solutions for leading broadcast, media and entertainment companies to include powerful tools for real-time creation and distribution of video content over the Web for a broad range of businesses.
